Cats used
4 Bombardier BR400+ Snowcats. Spacious and comfortable passenger cabins can hold up to 12 guests. Back-ups ready and available instantly to cover if anything malfunctions with the 2 main Cats.
Lodge / Accommodations
Tsuius Lodge is centrally located in our 17,000 acres and at 5,200 feet in elevation the remote location allows for a 10 to 15 minute cat ride to your first tracks of the day! Our comfortable lodge has a casual home-style atmosphere with breathtaking 360-degree vistas of the Monashee Mountains. In November 2010, the construction of the new Guest Chalet was completed. The Chalet is a 3-storey, 6000 square foot lodge that sleeps all 24 guests in 16 bedrooms. For your convenience and comfort, each room has its own ensuite and thermostat to control the in-floor heating
Equipment
Monashee Powder has a selection of ‘fat’ powder skis. We now carry a selection of new Prior Overlord skis, which have an early rise tip. Or you can also try our Armada JJ, Salmon Czar or K2 Hellbent reverse camber skis for $35 per day. Poles are provided along with rental skis. Guests must bring their own ski boots.
Guides
Monashee Powder Snowcats is dedicated to providing a high standard of professionalism and safety that is mandated by the HeliCat Canada Association. As members of this association our guides are trained and certified by the Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA) and Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) organizations to which MPS also belong and support. Each group of 12 guests is led by two or three guides, who are well versed and experienced in avalanche hazard forecasting, weather analysis, emergency mountain first aid, mountain rescue and even ski instruction techniques.
