Location: Points North Heli Adventures is the only heli-skiing operation utilizing the southeastern side of the Chugach Mountains. Over the past decade, the Chugach Range has proven to be the premier destination worldwide for helicopter skiing and boarding.
Ski Area: Our base location in Cordova is 40 miles from Valdez. With over 2000 square ski-able miles available out the front door, there is more terrain than one could ski or ride in a lifetime!
Grouping: 3 A-Star helicopters, 4 guests to 1 guide, 3-4 groups per helicopter.
Average Run length: There are so many run options at PNH, it’s endless. There are runs that are 5,000 vertical feet and more aggressive runs that are 2,000-3,000 vertical feet.

Equipment: Essential gear included in package. (beacon, harness, pack, shovel, probe and helmet). Optional Volkl ski rental $40 per day of usage. Wary Airbag pack $40 per day of usage.
Guides: Points North and its professional staff of high angle guides will escort you to terrain that will match your abilities. When you visit us be assured your safety is paramount! Our entire Alaskan heli ski guides have extensive training in emergency care and are either certified EMTs or Wilderness First Responder. All of our ski guides have received extensive training in mountain safety, glacier travel, high mountain rescue techniques, and helicopter operations and Avalanche II & III certifications. Additionally, all of them are Certified by the US Heli Ski Association and train with those protocol standards every day. Most of our guides are working year round in remote environments and we can say confidently they are some of the very best in the world.
Lodging and Dining: Our lodging is all-inclusive. Our facility is not a hotel or motel. It is a beautiful state of the art facility located directly on the waters edge. All of our aircraft are a few steps away from your room eliminating the drive to the heli port each day. Everything is located here on the property. All of our meals are guaranteed to make your mouth water and our local chef specializes in fine cuisine. Within the lodge we also offer wireless Internet access, just in case you are thinking of work while on vacation.

The Heli Ski US Association is a professional “governed body” organization dedicated to establishing the highest quality guide, safety and operations guidelines for helicopter skiing in the United States. There are only 2 heli ski operations in Alaska that meet these standards and Points North is proud to be one of them. Make sure to look for the Heli US logo whenever you go helicopter skiing in the United States. - Activities in Cordova:
“No fly days” can and do occur in Alaska and this is where Points North separates itself from the rest. We have a chairlift, Mt Eyak that accesses terrain above the beautiful town of Cordova, along with, ice climbing, backcountry skiing, snowshoe excursions, not to mention options to go fishing for Halibut, Salmon, Dolly Varden and Rock fish. You can also just go for a boat ride. The town of Cordova itself also offers many different options for entertainment. Your Alaskan experience is paramount to us! - PNH has sold out 11 of our 15 years with an 85-percent client return rate.

Total for trip: $5,475
Trip Includes:
4 heli-flight hours, per person. An average day is around 1.34 heli- hours.- 4 heli-hours generally is equivalent to 3 days of flying.
- Guests can expect to get 8-12 runs per day. It’s not uncommon for groups to come home with 12&13 run days (if they desire) later in the season, as daylight is longer.
- 7 nights lodging, per person. This includes ALL of your meals, lodging, and transportation.
